The village of Fuseta is in the municipality of Olhão, 20 km from Faro airport. It is a small, bustling and authentic fishing village, when during the day the fishing boats are in the harbour the fishermen are mending their nets. The freshly caught fish are sold in the market or go directly to the restaurants where they are roasted on the BBQ at lunch or dinner.
From the flats you can walk (across the railway bridge from Fuseta-A train station) straight into the village or to the beach.
Oh yes, Fuseta has 2 beaches: 1 directly at the village with beach bar Borda d'agua, and 1 on the island (May to September) both beaches are more than worth a visit!
