Monte Ouro Verde

In the hills of Estoi, just above Faro, lies Monte Ouro Verde: mountain (of) green gold. The estate used to be known for its wild green asparagus. This is where the name comes from, but the olive oil is also considered green gold. Judith and Ferry continue this tradition and still produce olive oil on a small scale. From the estate there are fantastic views over the hills and the olive, carob and fig trees. Currently, you can rent a studio or a mobile home here.

The fully renovated studio (2024), or studio Amendoa, is located in the old farmhouse of Monte Ouro Verde and is fully self-sufficient with a well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a spacious living room with sitting and sleeping area, air conditioning and a private terrace in the courtyard garden. The studio can accommodate 2 people and possibly a small child.

The mobile home, or casa movél Figo, is suitable for 4 people and has 2 bedrooms, a spacious living room with kitchen and a bathroom with a separate toilet. Air conditioning and heating make this accommodation suitable for year-round occupancy. The casa movél has beautiful views over the hills from its large terrace.

Guests can also use the (set-up) swimming pool. Breakfast is possible, but in consultation and at extra cost.

Nature and environment

If you are looking for sun, peace and nature, the 3-hectare Monte Ouro Verde estate is the right place for you. It is a place to unwind and discover the Algarve with its beautiful villages and beaches. It is located near the picturesque villages of Estoi (4km) and Sao Bras de Alportel (8km). The beaches of the (Eastern) Algarve are some 12 km away. Faro airport is a 20-minute drive away.
