Cabanas is a cozy place just outside Tavira with a beautiful beach and nice boulevard
How do you get there?
By train, get on at any platform from Faro towards VRS Antonio and get off at Cabanas, or by car (follow the N125 or the A22)
What is there to do?
Have a beach holiday! and of course strolling along the boulevard with many restaurants and cafes

The beach is very extensive and has a number of small tents on the beach where you can get something to eat and drink. There are also sunbeds for rent and parasols available. There is also a lifeguard on duty during the summer months.
About this place
Cabanas has now become part of Tavira because of the buildings growing closer together. Nothing bad about that because the village has many cozy cafes and eateries.

And what else?
That is why you will only find restaurants and cafes on the boulevard that have a beautiful view of the lagoons. From this boulevard a boat leaves to the 'other side'. It is a short distance, about 100 meters, that you have to take by boat to go to the beach. The boats go up and down continuously so you don't have to wait very long. At the end of a summer day the line can be significantly longer, don't worry, you will be back on the mainland within 15 minutes.
